Lost camera is identified by the owner; see the trajectory

A waterproof camera belonging to the North-American Lindsay Scallan was lost during a night dive in 2007 in Hawaii. Six years later, for the girl’s surprise, the device was found in deplorable conditions by an official of the airline China Airlines – the memory card from the camera, however, remained intact.

Found by a Taiwanese on a beach, the camera was then opened the registration card photo was taken and a surprise: the images stored in the memory of the Canon PowerShot showed the landscapes of Hawaii – which is almost 10,000 km away from Taiwan. Thus, only a matter of time separated the reunion between camera and owner.

After a move started on the Internet, the story spread quickly outside world.

I was speechless to learn that the camera and the old photos were mine. Was amazing. Could not believe that she traveled so much, for so long, and that the memory card was still intact“, said Lindsay at Hawaii News Now

To facilitate the reunion, China Airlines arrived to offer a gateway to Taiwan for the owner of the camera. But Lindsay had to refuse the offer, since she is in a new job.

It brought back some good memories and some photos that I had forgotten. It was great! I’m so curious to see the rest of the images“, pointed out the American.
