Meet the charms of diving in Salvador – Brazil

Salvador (BA) is known to be one of the most incredible destinations for Brazilian tourists. Salvador, the Bahia capital, needs no introduction in relation to tourism, however, when it comes to diving, is it poor known about the charms of its sea.

With a crystal clear water, the sea of Salvador keeps secrets like few in Brazil. Ancient shipwrecks make these waters the most attractive one for divers who come out to meet the Atlantic Ocean.

If you do not want to risk too much on a dive in the open ocean, a simple dip in the breakwater is an option. The maximum depth is ten meters and you can be thrilled with thousands of fish, corals and marine life all there.

But if the option is even submerged in the waters of the Atlantic, will soon be amazed at the wreckage of several ships around the seabed of Salvador.

Bretgne and Germânia are located near Farol da Barra, eight meters deep. Talking about vapors, Salvador and Paraná are located north of Itapuã – both 19 meters deep.

One of the most visited wrecks is Galeão Sacramento, sunk in 1668 after colliding with Santo Antônio. That boat draws a lot of attention from divers, because cannons and anchors are still remain fixed.

It worth checking the wrecks during the holiday season in Bahia.
