Mysterious Lagoon reopens its 2013 snorkeling and diving activities

Who is scheduled to travel to Bonito and region, in the brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul, there is a must-do tip that has to be included in tourism attraction list. It is Lagoa Misteriosa (“Mysterious Lagoon”), located in the city of Jardim (MS), nearby Bonito.

The attractive offers snorkeling and diving in crystal clear waters lagoon.

It was reopened on April 5th. Before that date, Mysterious Lagoon was closed for a period of six months (between October 2012 and March 2013) due proliferation of algae, a natural phenomenon that happens every year, and which interfer visibility during activities.

Mysterious Lagoon takes its name due to its unknown depth, which has already raised some suspense to beginners as well as professional divers. The maximum depth reached was 220 meters, even though there was no record its end.
