When to go to Fernando de Noronha

Fernando de Noronha is a year round destination and one of the best diving destinations in Brazil. Being so close to the equator, sun is guaranteed. Daily average temperature is 28oC. Rainfalls may occur between March and August, but they are usually short and not disruptive to tours.

The best time to go diving in Fernando de Noronha is September – October, when the sea is at its calmest and the water visibility reaches 50 meters.  The best time to go surfing is around January.

December – February are high season months due to school holidays in Brazil. Do avoid Brazilian holidays such as New Year’s Eve and Carnaval, when the island gets crowded and prices skyrocket.
